The frigid rain poured down relentlessly, drenching the shivering dog as he sat huddled on the curb. His matted fur clung to his shaking body, but still he refused to budge from his post. Day after day, hour after hour, the loyal canine waited, his eyes scanning the street for any sign of the family he refused to abandon.
It had been over a week since the dog’s owners unceremoniously dumped him on the side of the road and sped off, leaving him alone to fend for himself in the elements.
